Terry Reeves of TORCH Missions (the group leader for our trip) has led numerous groups to Honduras. Please check out the Torch Missions website blog or the Kluge Family blog to find out more about the work going on in Honduras.

Please consider making a donation to the work of the July 2008 trip.

Here is a list of needs:

  1. Medical Supplies - large bottles of aspirin, Tylenol and Advil; first aid cream and tape; antibacterial soaps, creams, and wipes; adult or children's multivitamins; latex gloves; Band-Aids; medical gauze; baby wipes; Q-tips; powdered baby formula; cough syrup; cold medicines of all kinds. Toothbrushes and toothpaste.

  2. Clothes and Shoes - All Items should be new or clean and in very good condition.
    - Childrens sizes are needed the most
    - Adult Small and Medium sizes only, Large sizes are not needed
    - Clothing should be modest and summer weight

  3. Tools - hammers, work gloves, levels, chalklines, tape measures and chainsaws.

This mission organization performs the following:
- build houses for the homeless
- visits the orphans at private and state-run orphanages
- visit the sick and blind in the hospitals
- provide medicine for the sick
- provide clothing for the naked
- provide clean water and wholesome food
- provide educational materials and supplies to the schools
- teach the lost about the love of Jesus
- share our love with them
